Her Way Never Lost

Today, when hungry pen brokefast to page, this happen.

Her Way Never Lost

By Tyler Lucas Mobley

Her body a sound garden, storm swept sea

passengers afloat, humming her vibration.

Carried and tossed, her way never lost

cosmic gyres full of glee, winking out reality.

afterthought: simulation, consciousness, energy ladder doesn’t seem all that off. Maude; extremely vaginal.

Monster’s Wading Room

Monster’s Wading Room

By Tyler Lucas Mobley

No need to follow my path,

don’t know how to live with

instigating death.

A brown torrent five meters across

appeared mild as tea and cake.

Being eaten or becoming prey,

not fond of finding oneself on

the menu.

Timeless terminators, in need of

minesweepers for submarine feet.

There on the beach, sandals in a fist,

we’ve all heard of Russian roulette

we welcomed the unknown.

The phenomenologist SAT,

a religious act of faith, a

declaration to life and its

persistence.

Breathing axioms, in up to our

chests, a steady forward pace.

A year later a surfer at the

same crossing caught a bite in

the leg, he didn’t make it out.

A conscious choice, to allow

the world to unfold as it will,

to put your life in the hands of

something beyond yourself.

“To dare is to lose one’s footing

momentarily. Not to dare is

to lose oneself.”

– Søren Kierkegaard

Lever Room

Inspired by an afternoon at Glacier Point.

Lever Room

By Tyler Mobley

Recrossing the boundary

hit by murmurs of stupidity

there’s no getting there without

self assurance, same spirit of

those who opposed.

Why?

What if you fell?

there is no answer,

falling would’ve been very stupid.

Looking over the edge

at all the air below

the body reacts, flooding response

as mortality is sensed.

One small weight on worldscale

mystery connection complete.

All things looking of You

All things looking of You

By Tyler Mobley

Ripples trail a seaward vessel

spreading curves, a rhythm we

rolled once or twice.

Dewy garden mornings find web woven

portraits by Picasso legged spiders,

“a fly for the effort.”

Birds gather in honor,

Roman starlings perform under twilight,

fluttering human forms sing songs

of dedication, they knew

you always listened.

A name glimpsed in bubble

breathes held on a tub floor,

before bursting nevermore.

A lasting adieu with

all things looking of you.

We Stopped Just to Hear the Silence

Went for walk today, you may call it a hike, with my mom. We take our time to indulge in the beauty.

Most Thoughtful Camper

Most Thoughtful Camper

By Tyler Mobley

Developing over time is how most things go, this collection was no different. Retrieving a blanket to be laid down in a starlit park I consider the stickers placed on the back window of my camper shell. As our minds do I created a story for their arrangement. She brought a blanket too, by the time things buttoned up we’d rolled our way onto the grass. Our next meeting I shared the meaning I’d seen in the stickers that night.

“You see it’s really a college of human nature.”

Here the central Octopus tentacles spell out “soul,” with nature on one side and the industry and creation on the other. On the nature side are two trees, one I bought myself, one given by a friend. Symbolizing Ventura’s Two Trees, the prominent landmark of my hometown. On the other side of the soul is an Iron & Resin sticker with a separate black n white anchor in the top corner. The new local brand whose market niche surfboards and motorcycles, their downtown storefront always full of the hippest crowd. These were the first stickers I’d stuck, now created a symmetry to my back window. Done without any deliberate thought I’d made a representation of ourselves in the world, caught between nature and industry. Our souls trapped in bodies bound by natural urges and needs complemented by the ability to manipulate our environment through our imagination.

“Does that make sense to you?”

“That is the most thoughtful thing anyone has ever said to me.”

Not exactly the reaction I was hoping for, but kind nonetheless. Her phone rang, time to go.

We call this a Cultural Piece

Value and labor have been intertwined since the days of Marx, anything worth having must be earned. The value of everything is derived from the labor involved to make it the way it is.  If one is not producing, he or she loses their sense of value, and it many cases loses how to culturally define themselves.  The system of production works through people who have jobs, and it depends on having future people to one day being able to inherit those jobs.  Keeping production right where it needs to be; characterized by upward mobility.  The only problem here is that we have gone crazy with production, everyone sees the market as their ladder to a big piece of the pie.  Which people have a right to, but in reality all but the sincerest of attempts actually end up with more pie than they need; guidelines of the system.  So we end up with a hordes of bad ideas, manufacturing gone awry, useless clutter that sits their depreciating waiting to be disposed of.  Now in many cases you need a few bad ideas before you get a good one, that’s all good, but don’t shit out a new spring line every year just because that’s what your competitors are doing.  How many times is their leftover halloween decorations marked down in the stores come November.  Do they figure that everyone lost their decorations since last year, or do they just like adding clutter to the isles and make people say “The holidays are coming up quick.”  We are plagued by this system that we are expected to perpetuate, barely given a fair chance. Forced into working, forced to stress and feel inadequate when you’re not producing or making a living.  You may ask what else might you do if not this?  Now this is true freedom, the freedom I experience in my mind can now be channeled through me, behaving how it may.  Not when this live is being wrestled down to a desk job, anchored to a chair, dreams wiped off on the doormat. That job provides a service to people who have needs created by the very system that creates the jobs.  An example, people who do your taxes, making one part on the system so complex that it must grow itself to accommodate for its careless over complexification. From this point on that’s all that will ever happen within the system.  Consuming just to consume, the most inhuman value that has arisen out of this cultural fabric stretching, obesity.  We want you to sit all day and then when your back hurts from sitting all day, come to us and we’ll give you pills that slowly turn you into a zombie and ruin your life. It all feeds into itself.  Is this the place  the human endeavor has brought us to over time?  Or has the need to be constantly stimulated gave way to the world economy?  Building people a life around comforts of the American ideal so we can be stimulated in a more artificial way. Experiencing life from behind doors, from little screens, eyes cast down avoiding the light of day.  It is not all bad, maybe we’re right where we need to be. Although sometimes society feels like an uncomfortable shoe when I just want to be barefoot.           A happiness, a contentedness comes from within you, within relationships.  We’ve had those times when you’re with a person and you feel in that moment you don’t need anything else. Those are what life should be based around, not a system that we need vacations from.  Build a life around happiness, whatever that means to you.

The Ocean

The Ocean, is there not a more interesting topic than this, when it comes to near by unknown universes?  The ocean has it’s hand in every natural phenomena on Earth’s outer skin.  She expresses herself through her vast interconnected body characterized by her fiery brothers, rock and mental.  She sings an endless symphony of life, from her darkest depths to her tranquil shores, currents and eddies go round like a needle on a record.  Lost below the surface is a world reflecting ours. Communities thrive, balancing the scale in a precise krill to baleen whale ratio.  Infinitely trapped in turmoil,  she is in constant play with the wind and the moon; she cannot be at rest.  In collaboration with the wind she beats up on her younger brother rock.  Wind and waves collide smash rocking changing him over millennia, leaving him jagged and vulnerable.  She is a keeper of treasures, she can hold onto to something longer than a jealous relative.  She will keep your wildest dreams and your most retched nightmare side by side, never seeing one without a hint of the other.  The Ocean she saves me, an escape away from a land locked life, I am free, suspended, at the mercy of her majesty.  She is rich in waves, her most prized possession.  Although she shares them with us endlessly, offering rides on her back, they do not go without consequence, some paying the ultimate price.  The ocean calls upon those who take her lightly, tossing them humbled covered in sand back to shore where they may stay now forever.  You must open up to her, share yourself, be totally at peace then she will begin to reward you.  If you put in the time to understand and appreciate her, she’ll give you everything you need.  This is the story of girl she cried and became the whole world, this is a story of a girl.

Mother and Father Forces

We must look where we’ve been to get a sense of where we’re going.  The first peoples to create civilizations and worship Gods always casted nature as a female figure.   The term Mother Nature is still widely used today.   If we understand where we came from we can have a better idea as to how we can exist peacefully on this plane., The root of human nature is deep within the bounds of the universe.  Suppose this was the case…..

Lets apply Male and Female genders to the key components of the known universe.   Male being all energy and Female being Nature and universal laws, such as gravity.  These two forces are at battle with one another, male always trying to expand and conquer, and female is trying to constantly harness and ground him.  They are codependent on one another as most binary systems are, both intelligent forces with crafty ways of working.  The universe is the battlefield upon which energy and nature are in flux.   Small wars take place all over space; some within stars and black holes, but most of all planets are theirmost creative fight.   They draw parts form one another in effort to fool it’s counterpart.  The female laying out the drawing board and landscape, energy thus provides motion and life.  Energy provides the spark or firing of a gun at the start of the race.  Energy creates the life but nature can shape it’s path, she can use her external forces to influence the walking, crawling, flying, slithering, and swimming energy.   Energy influences nature to evolve it’s creations with what nature can throw at it, thus potentially benefiting energy over time.  The longer time goes on the more energy is dominating nature, but nature can still fight back whenever she wants.  The energy that is formed and designed to conquer nature is still shaped by nature herself.   Energy life forms land on a spectrum of means of conquering on one end and peaceful existence with nature on the other.  No one energy form is bound to either one; at any moment nature can pull a form of energy toward her goal of stoping energy, or show it something that makes it going sprinting back the other.

The fight will go on for ever forever in some part of the universe.  We are the product of creativity from which the universal battle  of energy and nature is exercised through our finger tips.
