Find Us Dancing

Fell out mostly intact,

Find Us Dancing

By Tyler Lucas Mobley

Mind wanders off leash

spouting faithful skyward,

to fall as unwitting heaven.

A shared message spreads

wings, our moment soars

sunshine escapes through

our eyes in endless horizon.

Listening for the old town

bell, pitched from liferaft

ocean welcomes my drift.

An all supposing endeavor

toe test jacuzzi everywhere

there’s calm in the bear cage.

Always on your shoulder

though you never asked

why, summons received by

the approaching storm

anchored by above’s below.

Harbored hearts sway to

rolling thunder, on a bridge

over water life passes by,

butterfly sermon finds

your ear, river impressions

say more than words dare.

Living in those crosshairs

reclined satisfaction of one

who smiles at ceilings,

as a world unto known.

Goldie Hawn stirs a rainbow leafs against sky

animate and dance in mind, providence of spread

legs journey west, stumble into a mine shaft to

fall for 37 years. Anomalous dynamics, deemed a

weightless pong vollied between hemispheres to

emerge in volcanic eruption, then appear on the

evening news. Feather voice found me splashing

in a bath, ‘Hemingway’ says the lady of 1946, with

palindrome restored come visions against the grain.

Wrinkled faces clock time, expressions instruct

wavering compass, solemn salute raised totem of

fortune flapping drawers. When her straps hit the

water it all boiled off, on the side of the tub lay a

pile of purple jelly, should toast ever wish to spread

my honor, that gives you opera voice till it clears,

patience a virtue, a lion’s stretch under blazing sun.

Trying On Life

You never know when gifts arrive,

Trying On Life

By Tyler Lucas Mobley

Holster ready, all you did was

ask. If put another way, I

might’ve just let it pass. Your

key question unlocks response.

Not taken lightly words rush to

life relating to everything at once.

Did grandmother tell you what was

said? Eyes blossom full of sky.

Did we know then what we know

now? Birds sing the story of our

lives, rendezvous on approach

play your part to alert me to mine.

Our moment bubble burst into

existence, crochet time yarns and

salutes, saddled grins remind us this

whole world is a changing place.

Sifting Lizards

Titled Castaneda, benefits of losing one’s mind.

Sifting Lizards

Informace, at risk of excluding the

rest, finger raised distinguishing this

from that, a process arrives at Hiroshima.

Potent void, out of nothing a knock

on your door, just dropping by, a light

like never before pours definitive unto.

Caressed by world bosom ease away a

breath, casting sky hooked a cloud life

upon merry go round, spurs spontaneity.

Your stride upright brighter than the sun,

ocean eyes focus in as horizon lion shakes

it’s mane, settling just where you belong.

Partners with the well, path of now

Informal destiny, pollen smudged nose

lifetimes a sudden encouraging wind,

at any moment overcome by feeling alive.

Falling over backwards

some truth yet said, mirage lips

covet a single syllable.

Strides with four legged

majesty to break the spell, shatter

stone with a prying kiss.

Treasured lips form pirate

smile crescent reflecting ocean

stubborn windward tales.

Sense of what is carried

branches by day swans by night

shouted whisper emanates.

Speak mountains of river

coherent flow unbeknownst guest

as Old Faithful chamber.

Impressions dance on our

humming minds, rhythms match

between pressing records.

Laurels of My Life

Truly Grateful for all that be

Laurels of My Life

By Tyler Lucas Mobley

Could rest all day on laurels of my life

lounge in the safe of my memory bank

my personal theatre replaying the hits.

Heart runs over savory to the last drop

scent of black forest, all those passing

eyes, fish-headed accordion serenades

baguettes become saber for all to see

taken by surprise at giant faceless babies,

that photo I’ll never see, crossing the

Bosphorus with an American girl under

each arm, my lap would know Sri Lankan

that same week, the tremble of her touch

on that beach in Mexico, washed my feet on

holy ground, blind to what others see, felt it

all going my way, brushed noses with what

goes without saying, walked home after a

Tokyo pub crawl, watched the sunrise in

your eyes always remember what they said.

No Telling

Formidable Space makes mountains of us all.

No Telling

By Tyler Lucas Mobley

What would our world be without

eyes to look into, what manners

does this table set demand? Sharp,

smooth, pointy all fit in hand.

Built by formidable space

stubborn boundaries resist

atomic pressure. A face to know

when bones for an instant.

Paint the world with your problems

cinematic projections done for undisclosed

spiritual development deals, all comes

back to how to be in the world, no closer

truth, sweetest light lives in golden rule.

Proud partners, see you on the other side.

What a thing to take on, creatures formed

by night, in darkness lies the truth of light.

Phantom lives where who knows, ocean

currents our lives transposed.

You waited for our company

the lucky couple you chose to

share your last moments with.

Passing unsuspected you give

notice, call our attention to

your final act. We turn to the

sound in the silence to follow.

You say goodbye with a tender

timber, your sparse tip comes

to rest in the fork of another,

caught by lovers branch.

Your rings given to us as the

sound we will hear forever.

Beyond Grounded

By Tyler Lucas Mobley

Young as those towers crumbled

into dust, too young to know what

could become of the world, too

many spaces to fill, bewildered.

What does the world turn round?

Love Island Below Deck Squid

Games? No better monument,

who didn’t what, attention waged.

When did we forget that love

received is love returned,

your heart must first burn full

for the world to nestle up to it.

To love somebody is to love

yourself, to be is not easy,

world on your shoulders,

anchor eyes glisten in detail.

How to be when mystery is

our truth? Each foraging a

path, some find wings and

enjoy their cake on clouds.

Simple one day mind and

moment purr together broad

as the horizon, somewhere

horses jostle in starting gates.

Somewhere she wears only

night, lunar arousal she carves

brilliant ice sculptures with her

nipples only to melt by morning.

Squint against an icy wind on

a heaving sea, pickled delight

cast with cages on the bottom

line. Buttons undone reveal a

common root, majestic redwood

birds peck at trunk squirrels hide

nuts in my midst. Somewhere an

answering machine takes a message.

Be slow, slow down, find

the letter in your bottle. What

you conceived must be felt as

fentanyl numbs a way forward

for those who forget to ask

why the moon scales to the sun.

Our angels conspire with demons

on hoops we transform through.

Relax those shoulders and secure

your feet in the world you couldn’t

embrace, step into a dream, pretend

galaxies knock on foreheads before

bestowing each new thought. You’ve

been right all along, the letter you

wrote must be read. This feeling,

as the earth feels the moon you

sense my gaze and know we are

the same. We enter one runway

and exit with personal flare, to

truly be gone you must have lived.

When harmony sings as golden sun

elaborate a rainbow, kiss your toad

goodnight. What is life without love?

What is love but a love for yourself?

To see you in all others. Laugh

as you aim for the stars, it always

was, soon we’ll forget how to play

this song, funny how we play along.
